MEET MANDY
Mandy Kilmartin has spent her career fighting for people. As a volunteer EMT, she witnessed families at their most vulnerable—an experience that inspired a 25-year career focused on improving the quality, safety, and compassion of healthcare. This foundation of service guides every decision she makes in public life.
With five years of service on the Shelton Board of Education and as co-founder of the Lady Ds Scholarship Fund, Mandy has proven her commitment to local families and students. She believes leadership is about listening, showing up, and delivering tangible results for the community, regardless of party affiliation.
Mandy and her husband Doug are raising their two children in Shelton, instilling the same values of integrity and standing up for others that guide her campaign. She is ready to fight for every family, every neighborhood, and every opportunity our community deserves.

As a former Board of Education member, Mandy knows that strong schools require strong investment. She will leverage her experience and relationships to advocate for increased state funding and ensure our community receives its fair share from Hartford.
Mandy is committed to expanding access to rental assistance, establishing a renters tax credit, providing support for first-time homebuyers and seniors, and ensuring our community remains affordable for all.
For 25 years, Mandy has worked to improve healthcare outcomes. In Hartford, she'll bring that same commitment to fighting for lower costs, better care, and a healthcare system that puts patients and families first.
Protect Reproductive Rights
A staunch defender of women’s rights, Mandy will fight any attempt to roll back reproductive freedom in our state.
Hold Utilities Accountable
Connecticut residents pay some of the highest energy rates in the country. Mandy wants to ban ratepayer-funded executive payouts and will advocate for green energy sources and a true public utility authority.
